Gewendelte Treppen bieten gute Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten und sind platzsparend. Die Wendelung erfolgt bei 1/4 gewendelten Treppen meist im Antrittsbereich, ist aber auch im Austritt möglich.
Mit 1/2 gewendelten Treppen lassen sich sowohl ganz schmale als auch sehr breitgezogene Grundrisse realisieren und es kann wirklich Platz gespart werden.
